Botanical Eco-Printing with Fresh Flowers (Tatakizome) with The Attic Stitch

  • Birdhouse 6 Chestnut Street Amesbury, MA, 01913 United States (map)

Celebrate the beauty of spring through making.

Begin your day with an inspiring, hands-on exploration of botanical eco-printing using fresh flowers. In this course, you’ll learn the Japanese eco-printing technique, Tataki-zomé —a natural eco-printing process that captures the crisp shapes, colors, and textures of flowers directly onto fabric.

In this 3-hour workshop, you’ll design and create your own floral wreath tote bag, build a personal palette with seasonal flowers on fabric.

You will learn how to achieve clear, detailed prints using the Tataki-zomé hammering technique, along with the basics of fabric preparation and color fixing—so you can continue exploring eco-printing at home.
