Sashiko Hand-Stitching Workshop: A Mindful Evening of Making
Slow down and unwind with the humble, meditative rhythm of hand stitching. This Sashiko workshop is open to everyone—no experience needed—and is designed as a gentle weekday evening escape from the pace of daily life.
Sashiko is a traditional Japanese hand-stitching practice rooted in simplicity, mindfulness, and care. In this relaxed, hands-on session, you’ll be introduced to the essential Sashiko tools, including needles and Sashiko thread, and guided through fun, easy, and colorful patterns.
We’ll walk through stitching sequences step by step, so you can stitch with confidence and ease while enjoying a calm, creative atmosphere. Whether you’re brand new to stitching or looking for a restorative creative practice, this workshop offers a welcoming space to slow down, focus your hands, and connect with the process.
